The prices on other platforms matter very little to 24Option. They source their quotes from a few banks in the UK, among them Morning Star and Deutsche Bank, and at times even the prices between these sources differ by a few pips, in which case they simply take the average price. Traders PLEASE stop looking at and basing your trade entries on your MT4 charts and then think that brokers are playing shady games with you when your trades end OTM. I bet that NO ONE will mutter a word when their trades finish ITM on 24Option platform yet should have ended OTM on whatever chart they are looking at. Be fair to the brokers.

As for the requote/slippage problems on 24Option and Optionfair platforms, they've been there since they started their business and no amount of complaints is going to make them change. How do I know this? Simply because requoting issue included, they are still one of the biggest, and the best brokers in this small field and they know that they don't have many competitors. Why do they have to improve in any way if they know that traders are not going to run anywhere? I've said this before and I will say it again, to deal with this seemingly unfixable problem simply DO NOT enter trade in a fast moving market. Don't chase the breakout wait for the pullback it is that simple. And if you end up missing the entire move so what wait for another chance look at another pair. Don't get tied to an idea.

Hope this helps,

Iris

At the beginning of the week, I put in a withdrawal for about $1000. In the past, I have received a "Withdrawal Request Confirmation" which is just an automatically-generated email acknowledging the amount requested. I haven't received that email yet. I put in another withdrawal request and again no automatic email. Also emails to my account manager inquiring about the withdrawals have not been answered. Is anyone else experiencing this?

"Don't chase the breakout wait for the pullback it is that simple. " - good advice, Iris! I was someone hung up on the idea of chasing the breakout, hence all the requote flags blocking me from buying. But occasionally a spike would keep on spiking once I'd managed to get in. In fact, I realised it wasn't necessarily the broker playing sinister games when these flags would actually prevent me from making a bad trade!
I say 'necessarily' because I didn't experience these blocks at all in my first five weeks of trading (optionfair). It was only after my first withdrawal of £1,200 it started. Hmm. I'm keeping an open mind... And your post is food for thought.

Hi

Opened an account with 24option last week.

Like a few of you have mentioned, the 6 second delay is really annoying and has caused me to miss many trades! As for withdrawals, I put in a request to withdraw the initial £250 I deposited on Tuesday, I have just received email confirmation today that is has been processed. Put a request in yesterday to withdraw the £650 profit I have made by wire transfer, not heard anything about that yet.

Over all they are ok, but the execution issue is a big problem, especially if the bet goes a few pips against you, they ALWAYS accept it and never say the price has changed.

Will keep you posted on the withdrawals.

Kind regards

Here's a little trick I use on close calls to determine if my trade has ended in ITM or OTM after expiry and before official closing. Since prices are different by a few pips on my 24Options platform and my Metatrader 4 platform (I use Alpari-us) after I enter the trade I will take note of how many points the trade is ITM or OTM at the open. Then I go to my MT4 chart and draw a horizontal line at the same point difference. I sometimes have to adjust it a little but get it close or right on most of the time. Then when the trade expires I can go to the MT4 chart and see where the next candle opens to tell me while I wait for the official call. Hope this helps someone else.

Hello all ...
I've been demo trading with 24O for the past week ... simple answer ... NOT IMPRESSED!

Whilst the options are good and the platform is good ... there is a 4 - 6 second delay when taking the trade! As you enter your trade / price and click 'buy' the platform checks the price ... it takes about 4 seconds ... i have been frustrated with this, as it re-quotes often! and i MISS the trade!

So ... I'm out! demo account done with ... looking for another broker!

Wait for it ... WAIT FOR IT ... PRICE ACTION! BAM! ITM!

We get paid to wait ... icon smile Forums

You know what ? I just had the case where I had that "price has changed" issue 21 times in a row !!!!!!
I was about 2 min from the option close (7 min from expiry), and the price was not moving hard.
It is obvious the system did not want to let me trade this one, I couldn't try a 22nd time because then the option was then closed.
Guess what, 5 min later it would've been way ITM.
