Great review! I opened an account with these guys after reading this and so far so good (although not nearly as much invested as you talk about!)

My only problem is their online training/webinar service. I thought it was going to be really informative and show me how to make improvements to my trading approach, but basically all it did was tell me to read the news and investigate fundamentals. Iris, have you ever done any of their classes? Maybe the one I joined was a one-off joke, it would be nice to thinkt their other webinars are more worthwhile...

Hey A.Johnston,

Sorry I didn't see this post earlier. To answer your question I never attended any of their webinars as they are held at an inconvenient time for me. But I think you must have joined one of their Live trading events where they guide you in trading the news so it's normal that they just talked about fundamental analysis. Try to attend a few more before you decide to whether continue or quit.

Regards,

Iris

I have just signed up for an account with ioption, and looking at the withdrawal section it says I must provide utility bills and photo id,does this not open me up identity theft.

Do you trust them? Maybe it's like when you open a bank account, they're making sure you are who you say you are?

Gellis,

Every broker (Not just Binary brokers) ask for these documents upon signing up or making deposits, or in the case of Binary brokers, when withdrawals are initiated on your account. It's based on Anti-Money Laundering Law and it's not something that the brokers make up to steal your data.

Have you ever traded before?

A.Johnston,

Did you go for the Saturday class? What was it about? Any good?

I'm curious to know.

Hi Iris,

I went onto the website but the class wasn't running - completely my fault though, I got all my days and dates mixed up. I've registered for a couple of other classes during July (they all seem to be run on Sundays) so I will be back to let you know how they go icon smile Forums

I had a small deposit of $400 with iOption. When i closed my account it took 10 days to get my money back on my debt card. One note of caution...make sure if you don't want any bonus you get an email from iOption confirming it. When they added a demo account they labeled it "bonus" but because i had the email they couldn't say i took a bonus and thereby hold my money. They seem like a small operation run by a few people in a back room office which is why i closed my account.
