during your course of "just trying a few things out ", remember that there are days your strategy works like a charm and sometimes a curse. Your job would be to find out under which market condition such charm would arises and how to tweak your strategy when it becomes a curse. For some, with discipline at another level, are able to recognise the market condition and decide to sit-it-out. So besides your strategies, remember the market is part of your overall trading strategy too.

Don't try to touch 60 sec options anymore. In my opinion movements on the 1 min chart is too random even when there's a clear trend.

If it makes you feel better I blew 2.4K yesterday on 12 losing 60 sec trades.

Will never touch them again.

Using MA or EMA to contain trends is a basic and sound strategy and you are following the right course. But you've got to be aware of possible reversals at static/dynamic S/R.

Take care,

Iris

It was real money Darren so yeah it was Ouch!!

All of my profit for 2 weeks on my iOption account gone in about 15 minutes. Now my account manager is asking me why I never followed his advice to not trade the 60 sec. But that's the least of my problem I'm still hiding the loss from my husband but sooner or later will have to tell.

So I think no new clothes or sandals this month for me. And no ice cream:(

Try not to touch them anymore Darren.

Iris:(

Hi guys...

Not a good day for me today at all!!

Its a double UK bank holiday today and tomorow so I have been cautious all day, in the morning (9am GMT) what should of been the opening to the London session, I just sat that one out to see what happened....

Then the opening to the NY came and once the pairs started to move, I took my first trades...

http://postimage.org/image/m3ip3zrhb/

1st trade: At the time of this trade been taken, the candle had not closed (5min chart) but it broke to the 13 EMA so I took the put at 14:41GMT expecting it to go down. When really I should of waited for the close and to see what happened next. So I got caught in a trend reversal.

2nd trade: On the aus, a candle closing at 14:50 broke the 13EMA and so i wated for a green candle to close to confirm the pair going north. But yet again i got caught in th trend reversal. (maybe i should of waited half an hour or so to see what the markets did)

3rd trade: I got to hold my hands up to this one, I was a complete fool to of taken this trade, it was simply revenge trading, so I have nothing to say on it but that I am a fool.... icon sad Forums

I might just avoid bank holidays in the future lol.

Cya tomorrow guys. icon smile Forums

Maybe today was a day wen my strat worked like a curse hey cherry? Maybe the EMA strat is not best suited for UK bank holidays.... or maybe Im just not suited for UK bank holidays.... (Its prob just me)lol
