I don't know guys, but I'm not a big fan either. In fact my point of view is that regardless of the strategy you're using on 60sec, it will be like roulette. You'll suffer or benefit from extremely short term fluctuations, this even in a very steep sudden trend forming. So in my case I just don't use those at all. Completely useless on platforms like 24O or OF where the infamous "price has changed" will kick in at anytime the conditions are pretty much ok to trade such short timeframes... BDB maybe is better on those terms but still roulette, at least you won't have the croupier telling you that "the bets are closed" before being able to place any icon smile Forums But be aware you're still in a gambling zone imho.

I used to trade 15 and 30 min expiries, but I'm more and more enclined to trade longer exp such as end of the day, or at the very least one hour, a whole different perspective, but much more accurate, just for me.

Yes I agree Tripack 24o is not the place for the 60 second crap. BUT its just that a crap shoot. Like I said IF you could get a fill right off the bat and in market direction of 5m and 15m your odds jump up but its all IF'S so why bother.

I'm interested to hear more about 1 hour expire. What time frames are you watching? I would think that if your getting in at the open of the new candle and only trading in direction of 1h 4h trend your odds are pretty good that your going to close in the direction of the trend again IF your getting in at a good spot on the new candle. I'd like to hear more here or on PM on what your doing. Or start a new thread.
Thx

Hi Tommb,

No problem, I will explain more here, no need for a new thread I think since it's pretty simple in fact.

Hourly is indeed trend continuation after a pullback, I watch 15min candles, I set up fractals and also RSI and WilliamR are my friends for this.
I.e. When a fractal up has formed I will look at the 2 others to assess convergence/divergence and place a hourly put. It doesn't work every time of course but it means that the market tried something and failed. I pay special attention around major SR if there are any closeby.

Eod trades are simpler, for this I look what happened during London and look for a true reversal, usually 1-2 hours before and after US open. I won't trade if there is no reversal, and if there is one forming I will wait for confirmation, if this really happens it will generate so much momentum as everyone will jump on it that in most cases the eod trade will be ok, but you don't have such opportunities every day, you need to be extra patient and it's not for people who need to trade every day. For this I look at 30min and hourly candles.

That EOD makes sense, the NY session loves to reverse the UK session don't it?

And yes your hourly only makes sense to go in after a pull back of some kind has happened. But thats what I'm doing on a 5m chart as well, wait for a pull back up or down and get back into the trend In fact if the trend is long I may go call after a red 5m candle has formed and the new candle is moving past the red candles open. So same idea pretty much. Never thought about 1-2 hour expires interesting, and I don't use them indys. I may look at it.

Once my job starts kicking my a$$ again I won't have time for trading but I can still squeeze in an EOD or just one 1 hour expire trade for the day. Thats why I'm interested. Work may hit again (yuck)

Thx Tripak, oh if you ever get a change a few screen shots would be cool.
Good luck with the new week of trading.

Tommy and Patrick,

You guys are having an interesting conversation going on here. Either of you should open a new thread.

T as I said I don't go below 30 minutes, and I am even trading hourlies and EOD and even EOW now as you can see on my P&L thread. I did try 60 sec options selling resistance and buying suport and lost 2.4K. I think you commented on the losses on Darren's thread sometime back.

I agree, a complete gamble even when you get filled all the time as with iOption.

Patrick, you ignored me when I said "Hey" on my iOption's thread. I know you are being mad at me but it's simple misunderstanding. I've sent you a P.M.

Take care guys,

Iris

Hi there ,,, i am not big fan of 60 sec method but i use it sometimes when the market is slow
this method is not system it dependes on you and how you act upon what you see in the market im using metatrader 4 software with 2 indicators you can use freestockcharts as well ..
first of all do not use this method unles you have $3000 or Euros in your account .
first look to 5 min chart EUR/USD use this method with eur/usd pair only.
your entry must be the same like the current price or 2-3 pips less or more
make 4 trades $ 20 ,$ 50 ,$250, $500 . when the first trade expires put the next quickly try to catch the current price to match you entry price ,, i found this method on website to guy from England but i can not find that site any more. now other wise i will give you the link here
i am using BDB and it works very well with their plat form ,,, i had some losses but that was because i could not catch the current price to my entry price and sometimes my system just freezes in the middle ,, thats all what i know about 60 sec ,
i like to hear your thoughts

Cheers icon wink Forums

That method I think you will lose eventually all your money because eventaully I think you will lose the 4th bet enough times that it devestates your balance using that strategy. Also I thinnk the guy you guy this method from has updated his website and made 5 bets instead of 4 as you have listed above. Their is more to it then what you have listed above you want to make sure that the last number of the closing price is within 5 of the last number of your next trade and you try to place that next trade right when it the losing trade expires.

hey, sounds like a good strategy.

the only thing that concerns me is the risk. you have entered a lot of trades in such a small period of time.

say for instance the price did not pull back after the breakthrough, you have just lost all your trades in just a few minutes.

this does has the potential to wipe out alot of your funds, very very quickly.

IMHO 60sec trading is where people get greedy by wanting to make profit quickly, and we all know, greed is where your gameplan comes unstuck!!

I believe most methods whether they use 60 seconds or 1 hour expiry or more are pretty good. It's usually up to the individual trader to stick with it long enough on a demo account until he has it down pat inside and out. Then when their win ratio is acceptable and consistent, it's time to go live trading exactly the same way one did on the demo account. In most cases this will prove successful but the problem is that most of us want to jump right in and make a killing without paying the learning curve sacrifice. Just my 2 cents after close to 15 years of various types of online trading, successfully may I humbly add. Cheers

Being new to this Forum - and new to Binary Options - I have a question. Is it allowed to put a call and a put on the same asset, basically in the same time frame?
