New here, only found out about binary options through this website...

http://www.thelazydaytrader.com/method/

It seems profitable, but it's free of charge? And it kind of reminds me of the martingale betting method.

I opened a $500 demo account with OptionBit and managed to turn that into $832.50 in just one day but that's not over the long term...

What do you guys think of it? Do you think it could be profitable in the long run?

I have to call bullshit to this "system", in theory, it would work short term (with not many people using it). But let's give a hypothetical example.

Log on at 8AM EST, currently 60% Call EUR/USD, 40% Put (using data from 100 genuine traders since it's early morning, people are just waking up)
8:01AM EST, 200 users log on and see the 60% Call and all immediately start calling it.
8:02AM EST, Originally had 60/40, now you have 260/40 = 86.6% Call/13.3% Put

There is a breaking point in this system whereby eventually, the results are just controlled by the mob and (quite possibly) skewed by the company providing the ratios to mess up your trading.

with a real account and following that trading system, you'll lose your account less than a day.

any trader would call it a "The stupid day trader system".

And your last question, is that a trick question ? icon wink Forums

Wow this guy is a crook. There is so much wrong with this I don't even know where to start.

#1. What he is showing you is definitely not on a real OB account. OB has spreads, big ones, especially when you start making money. None of his trades had spreads on them. That is a demo account.

#2. Are you kidding me that the "trader insight" is a 100% accurate tool? That's just downright funny. That thing is a joke, it is supplied by the broker!! IF (huge if) this tool did reflect real trades on OB's platform, if only 1 person made a trade it is going to be 100% in one way. Holy crap that tool says 100% I'll put my whole balance on the line for it how can I lose with a 100% trader insight!! This guy should be ashamed of himself.

#3. If you just want to get into the math of his "system" you should realize that if you follow it to four levels like he shows when, not if, but when you lose 4 in a row you will wipe out 30 of the small trades. As Cherry said, you put this to work in the real world and in one day you will wipe your account clean. It might not be today or tomorrow or this week or next but it will come.

The system is called "the lazy day trader" system because he pulls in his affiliate commission on you for doing nothing but making this page and luring suckers in to OB to wipe their accounts out. So HIS lazy day trader system is profitable, but yours will not be.

yes Vincam icon wink Forums ,
Brian and i was talking about it that very likely its a chap from OB trying his very best to lure people in to trade with them. But then again there will be stubborn, naive and stupid suckers, ooops i meant traders that just cant help themselves but to be lured right in by this "method".

ok, at this point i just want to clarify that i traded with OB and i wasnt lured in by this "method". And i have my screen shots to prove that i did not use this "method".

Anyway this site has so many lessons and feedback from other traders to learn and model after. And if this still doesnt give an insight into what binary trading is or not, there is nothing we can do but to say "all the best to the rest of your trading account" to those who believe in such a "method".

Everyone else has the same perception. By using a simple mathmatical formula and by following the majority of traders choices you will be able to duplicate my success over and over again. You dnt have to be a genius to know his method wont work. It's more of gambling than trading. Red flags everywhere. 1 thing that had me laufing was his numerical values for the chances of winnings. Reminded me of online roulette I used to play, based on chances. If u understand how the computer algorithm for roulette was built, winning roulette based on prob, was achievable. Again only for short term b4 they find out & kick u out. With BO, using his method for a long term is sayonara to your equity. Short term? Count ur lucky stars. Markets always fluctuate, every1 knows this. Actually I used a similar method when I 1st started with BO. 1st instinct was to trade based on traders insight. This was paper trading, made nice profits for a day, but frm next day no consistency. There is no mathematical formula, simple statistic's will tell you it won't work in the long run, let alone profit consistently after day 1. Period.

Work well in demo rubbish in live, and once you start making money on Option bit spreads accrue.

Even theoretically this will not fly because you have a max limit on your trade.

The reason that smart money management is about not using more than 5% of your capital is also that you'll be able to have OTM 20 times until you lose all your money.
Using his formula your 7th trade will be already 3900$ and you already lost 2500$.
Although 7th losing trade in a row does sound far fetched, statistically it can happen to you.
Now can you imagine how much you need to put down on your 20th trade ?

This is a known betting scheme to win money on a 50/50 ration scheme. That is also the reason why casinos put a limit on their bets.

I think that the argument of OB having spreads is not valid since you can do the same on other brokers....

Hi markking,

Haha, funnily enough, I too only found out about binary options myself threw this STUPID site (lazydaytrader.com)......

I too coldn't believe my eyes, I thought to myself, god! They are giving money away here!!!

But NO!!! No one on gods green earth gives money away!!

I tried it out on a demo and i too, got the demo (on optionbit) to around £750......

But the minute I went live with my own real money, it went peared shaped, I done 10, then 26, 65 and then 150 and guess what.....

It LOSSED!!!!!!

I didnt even make a single pound, the minute that happened I drew out the remaining money that was left. Like what fistuk said, its the same technique as what you would do in the casinos playing roulette.....

You would bet a £/$ just 1, and if that loses you bet the SAME colour again but double up and keep on doubling up until your number comes back in, then you will get all your money back and then eventually that single £/$ you was originally betting for... Its stupid.

Also how fitsuk said, imagining getting to the 20th trade? How much money that would be? I read once that in a casino in vegas, red or black (i cant remember which one), one of the colours on roulette did not come in for a world recored breaking 38 times or something!!!!!

So the same colour came in 38 times to everyones amazment!! Imagine the money you would have to put on that to retrieve all your money back!!!

The good thing that has come out of that stupid Kieth Jones is that he introduced me to binary options, but I am still learning and still ahve alot to learn.

Stick with this site, you will learn ALOT here.

Peace out"
